Show me how.

The jobs people actually come here to do, in order, with short clips of the real app doing them. Nothing here is a mockup.

Your website

The Studio is where your site is built. Everything you change on the page waits in a draft until you press Publish, so nothing you try is live by accident. Settings that sit outside the page, like your domain and your forms, save as you go.

Start from a finished design

Four complete designs, photography included. Your logo, your services and your prices are untouched; the layout, the colors and the words are the design’s, and the words are placeholders to write over.

  1. Open the Studio, then the Style tab in the left panel.
  2. Press “Start from a design” and pick one. The preview is your own page in that design, not a stock picture.
  3. Press “Use this template”. If you already have a design, it asks before replacing it.
  4. Edit anything you like, then Publish when it looks right. Until you do, your live site is untouched.

Restyle your booking form

How wide the form sits, and how your services look inside it: photo cards, rows, a plain list, or a dropdown when your catalog is long.

  1. In the Studio, click the form section on the page to select it.
  2. In the left panel, switch from Content to Style.
  3. Set Form width. Wide suits a form that shows your services as photos; Normal suits a handful of questions.
  4. Under “Show services as”, pick Cards, Rows, List or Dropdown, and how many cards go across.
  5. The canvas is the real page, so what you see is what a customer gets. Publish when you are happy.

Connect a domain you own

Put your site on your own address. Ollie works out the exact records to add, and checks them for you.

  1. Go to Website, then Site settings, then Domain.
  2. Type the address you want, either yourbusiness.com or www.yourbusiness.com. Ollie sets the other one up to match.
  3. Copy each record into your domain provider exactly as shown. Ollie names the provider it can see and links to their guide.
  4. Press “Check connection”. DNS usually applies within minutes, but it can take up to 48 hours.
  5. HTTPS is set up automatically once the domain connects. There is nothing else to do.

Bookings

A request is an ask, not a commitment. It leaves your public calendar when you confirm it, or by itself if you have set that service to book instantly. Either way, nobody can pick an hour you are closed.

Take a booking, start to finish

What your customer does, and what you do next. The same booking from both sides.

  1. Your customer presses the booking button on your site, picks a service, and picks a slot from your real availability.
  2. They fill in what you asked for and send it. Closed days and hours already taken are never offered.
  3. It lands in Requests marked “Needs confirming”, and you get an email and a notification in Ollie.
  4. Open it and press Confirm. That sends the confirmation, and the slot leaves your public calendar.
  5. If the time does not work, press “Suggest another time” instead and let your customer answer.

Move a booking without a phone call

You never move a customer’s booking yourself. You suggest, and they answer.

  1. Open the request and press “Suggest another time”.
  2. Pick the slot you would rather do and send it. They get an email, and a text too if you have their number.
  3. They can take the new time, keep the one they had, or open your calendar and pick a third.
  4. Whichever they choose, the booking and the confirmation follow automatically.

Block off a day, or part of one

Holidays, a dentist appointment, a Friday that is already spoken for.

  1. Go to Availability and find “Block off dates”.
  2. Give it a start and an end date. Leave the times blank for whole days, or set a start and end time to block only those hours on each of them.
  3. Blocked hours leave your booking form at once. Bookings already confirmed are untouched.

Getting paid

Money moves through your own Stripe account, on Stripe’s normal payout schedule. Ollie takes 5% when you get paid, and nothing when you do not.

Connect payments

Your site shows a “Coming soon” page until Stripe has enabled payments on your account, but everything inside Ollie already works. Build first, connect when you are ready.

  1. Go to Payments, then Payment settings, and press “Connect with Stripe”.
  2. Stripe asks for your business and bank details. It is their form, not ours, and we never see your bank details.
  3. Come back, and your catalog is mirrored to Stripe for you.
  4. Your site goes live the moment Stripe enables payments. While Stripe is still reviewing your details, it keeps showing “Coming soon”.

Take a deposit to hold the date

Every service decides when it is paid for: when you invoice, when you approve, or on the spot.

  1. Open the service and find “When they pay”.
  2. “Deposit as they book” sends them to pay straight away, and the booking confirms itself once the deposit clears.
  3. “Deposit once you approve” holds the slot while you say yes first, then emails them a payment link.
  4. Set “Deposit taken up front” to the percentage you want. 100% means the whole thing.
  5. When the job is done, the paid deposit offers a one-click invoice for exactly the remainder.

Run a discount code

Codes work on your booking form and on the page where customers pay.

  1. Go to Payments, then Discount codes, and press “New code”.
  2. Set an expiry, a redemption limit, or restrict it to particular services.
  3. An expired or used-up code can be brought back: edit its limits and reactivate it rather than building a new one.

Day to day

The parts you touch every week.

Message a customer

Your messages reach people by text where you have a number and by email otherwise, and their replies come back to the same thread.

  1. Open a request and press Message, or go to Messages and pick the thread.
  2. Write and send. Your customer answers from their own inbox or messages app.
  3. Need to see the job? Press “Request photos” and they get an upload link. What they send lands on the thread.

Keep notes on a client

The gate that sticks, the dog, where to park. The things that make the second visit easier than the first.

  1. Go to Clients and open the person.
  2. Write a note. Keep as many as you like, newest first.
  3. Your client search reads note text, so “the one with the blue gate” finds them.
